Every age has its own kind of wildness.
Wild Village grows with families. From infancy through the elementary years and beyond, each stage brings new needs, strengths, questions, and ways of belonging. Our role is not to hold children in one model, but to create experiences that evolve with them — from sensory exploration and imaginative play to deeper inquiry, growing independence, meaningful work, mentorship, and eventually opportunities to contribute, create, and lead.
Development shapes the curriculum.
Wild Village is not organized primarily by grade level or academic subject. It is organized around development — what children need at each phase of growth, what capacities are emerging, and what kinds of experiences the natural world can offer at that stage.
The youngest children need secure relationships, sensory richness, movement, and time to explore. As children grow, play becomes more complex, curiosity deepens, and competence is built through increasingly meaningful challenges. Older children begin to need greater responsibility, sustained inquiry, real-world problem solving, and opportunities to contribute. And as they continue to grow, the work can grow with them — toward mentorship, apprenticeship, entrepreneurship, leadership, and meaningful participation in the life of the village.

Wild Village is a multi-age learning community where children share the same landscape, relationships, and rhythms while experiences deepen and shift with development. You do not need to decide which “group” your child belongs in before you arrive.
